Commissions

I’m currently not taking on commission work.

Creating ceramic pieces inspired by people’s pets has been a very special part of Dottir Studio’s story, and I’m deeply thankful to everyone who trusted me with something so personal. Each piece brought its own character and was a joy to get to know.

As my practice has evolved, I’ve found I need more space to work slowly and intuitively — following ideas, forms and surface patterns as they develop — rather than responding to individual briefs. For that reason, I’ve chosen to step away from commissions and focus on making artist-led ceramic work, released in small collections.

This allows me to explore new directions in clay and to create work that feels both sustainable and creatively fulfilling.

Although I’m not able to make personalised pieces, illustrated vessels and sculptural forms will continue to appear in my shop, along with new designs as they emerge. I hope you’ll stay with me and see what comes next.
